Ventspils Nafta Terminals achieved 4% higher performance

In 2018, SIA ““Ventspils nafta” terminals” (VNT) has increased its annual turnover by 4% compared to 2017, handling 7.23 million tonnes and maintained its leading positions as the largest contributor within the Ventspils port. Being a socially responsible employer and one of the largest taxpayers in the Kurzeme region, VNT has financially supported a number of organisations and community projects in Ventspils.

Strategic investments and long-term vision pays off for VNT

Despite the recent publications on transshipment performance of terminals within the Ventspils Freeport, suggesting that the increase in performance indicators of SIA Ventspils nafta termināls (VNT)  is related to political tensions between Russia and Ukraine, is incorrect and misleading information.  VNT has experienced 5 % growth in last 11 months over the same period 2017 only as a result of its the strategic planning and significant improvements implemented over 2018.

VNT receives the highest evaluation in Sustainability Index 2018

On Thursday, 14 June, ““Ventspils nafta” terminals” Ltd. (VNT) ranked in the ‘platinum’ category in the 2018 Sustainability Index for the fourth year in a row, while the Ministry of Welfare granted VNT the status of “Family friendly company” for the third time within the Sustainability Index.

VNT opens doors for students from Ventspils and Riga

On Wednesday, 11 April, an Open Door Day took place at ““Ventspils nafta” terminals” (VNT). 45 visitors from Riga Technical University, Latvian Maritime Academy, University of Economics and Culture, Ventspils University College and Ventspils Technical College participated in the event.
