VNT recognised as the best employer in Kurzeme Region for the fourth time

On Friday, 2 March, for the fourth year in row ““Ventspils nafta” termināls” (VNT) received an award in the category “Best Employer in Kurzeme Region” presented by the online recruitment company “CV-Online Latvia”. VNT was recognised as the most desirable employer in Kurzeme, in turn in Zemgale it was JSC “Dobeles dzirnavnieks”, in Vidzeme – JSC “Cēsu alus”, and in Latgale – JSC “Latvijas maiznieks”.

VNT searches for talents at the annual RTU Career Day

On 1 March, for the fifth year in a row, SIA ““Ventspils nafta” termināls” (VNT) took part in the Rīga Technical University Career Day held at the Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre. As always the aim was to familiarise students with internship opportunities and the company's operations. Everyone visiting the VNT booth could learn about the terminal’s programs for students, participation in projects, see samples of petroleum products and expand their knowledge of the oil transit industry.

VNT welcomed ‘shadows’ from 9 Latvian educational establishments

On 14 February, within the annual Shadow Day ““Ventspils nafta” terminals” (VNT) welcomed 9 students from several educational establishments around Latvia: Ventspils Secondary School No. 4, Ventspils Primary School No. 1, Pope Primary School, Ogre Secondary School No. 1,  Riga Teika Secondary School, Liepaja State Technical College and Liepaja Secondary School No. 5. The students represented grades 9–12 and expressed interest about professions in logistics, labour protection and business management.

VNT keeps its position as the leading contributor to Ventspils in 2017

2017 has brought changes to the Baltic States with respect to significantly declining cargo volumes. However, even in this demanding environment SIA ““Ventspils nafta” terminals” (VNT) has maintained its leading positions being the largest contributor within the Ventspils port, handling 6.9  million tonnes or 65 % of all transhipped liquid cargo in Ventspils port and 41% of liquid cargo in Latvia. During the past 12 months VNT has been in the process of implementing a number of significant development projects with a total investment amount exceeding 14 million EUR. As one of the major companies and employers in the Kurzeme region, VNT has financially supported a number of organisations and community projects in Ventspils.
